Let the Blogging Begin
So I decided to start a blog.....it seems like all the cool kids are doing it.
Most of my blogging will probably be about my amazing son and this crazy adventure called being a mom.
I named my blog Raising Free Range Children as a tongue and cheek reference to my parenting style. My parenting choice tend to be outside of the mainstream. We spend a lot of time outdoors. We watch very little television. I have recently become a vegetarian. We cloth diaper. And I often "wear" my son in a baby carrier. I believe in attachment parenting and I am still breastfeeding my 16 month old.
I parent much differently than many of my friends and family members.
My choices may seem strange or hippie to you. One of my hopes in creating a blog is that some of my loved ones can see my thought process and maybe understand why I do what I do. But even if you don't agree with me, I hope you will see that every parenting choice I make is because I honestly believe that is what is best for my son....even if that means living outside of the mainstream.
